7:00 - 9:30 pm

Hoku has delicious Hawaiian food and a full bar.

Hank Shreve began playing harmonica at the age of 8 and has established himself as a major harmonica talent on the blues scene in the Pacific Northwest. Between the ages of 8 and 18, he picked up other instruments, such as Drums, Keyboards, Guitar, Dobro, Lap Steel, and Vocals.

Hank won the Northwest Harmonica Championship in 2008 and CBA’s Muddy Award for Best Harmonica in 2009 and 2013. Also, Hank won the 2021 Rooster Blues Award for Best Male Vocalist. Hank has performed at the Las Vegas Big Blues Bender, the Waterfront Blues Festival, the Toronto Jazz Festival, the Cognac Blues Passions Fest in France with Karen Lovely, and Seattle’s BumperShoot with Magic Dick and Lee Oskar.

In November 2018, Hank was a featured artist and teacher in the Jason Ricci/Winslow Yerxa Harmonica Collective in New Orleans, along with John Nemeth and Rick Estrin.

Hank has shared the stage with Honeyboy Edwards, Smash Mouth, Merle Haggard, Norton Buffalo, Gregg Rolie, Marcia Ball, Sista Monica Parker, Amy Clawson & Pam Tillis, Terry Robb, Magic Dick, Lee Oskar, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Karen Lovely, Deanna Bogart, Roger Fisher (from Heart), Curtis Salgado, DK Stewart, Johnny Dyer, Lloyd Jones, Paul deLay, RJ Mischo, CJ Chenier, Aki Kumar, Jim Belushi and many other national and international acts.

Apart from being one of Eugene, Oregon's beloved musicians, Hank is also a music instructor. He currently teaches online classes through Music Masters in South Eugene. He teaches Harmonica, Drums, Guitar, Lap-Steel, Piano, and Music Fundamentals. He is also a contributor to Tomlin Harmonica School, as well as Ronnie Shellist's Global Harmonica Summits.

Hank and Dave Fleschner worked together on “Just This One,” a musical featuring the music of Paul Delay, which they presented at The Portland Waterfront Blues Festival, the Alberta Rose Theatre, and Michelle’s Piano Co. They also worked together with United by Music America and on a smaller stage at Catfish Lou’s as just a trio with Bill Shreve playing bass. Whether it’s a big festival stage or an intimate club setting, it’s just fun to watch these musicians interact and have fun together.

The Dave Fleschner Trio consists of Dave on Keyboards, Dan Gildea on guitar, and Charlie Doggett on drums. They have been making music together off and on for decades. This trio begins with the vehicles for improvisation – a range of original tunes from Dave’s catalogue, as well as a variety of jazz classics. Well-versed in the old school organ trio tradition of Jimmy Smith, Jack McDuff, Groove Holmes, and Don Padderson, the Dave Fleschner trio has a modern approach to this canon, drawing inspiration from artists as varied as Herbie Hancock and Ornette Coleman. You’ll find funk, soul, blues, and world music influences in their special blend of groove-based improvisation.
