Suavecito plays Salsa, Latin Jazz, and other well-known Latin music genres. They're a fixture in the Portland salsa scene and have traveled extensively performing all over the northwest. They have been a PDX favorite for avid salsa dancers over the years.

 

Brothers Pablo and Ricardo Ojeda have been writing and playing music together for as long as they can remember. Their musical writing style has taken many forms during the evolution of their sound. From the national touring dance floor packing beats of Rubberneck, to the hypnotic passionate rhythms of Toque Libre. 

 

Their latest musical offering is called “Sabroso,” meaning flavorful in Spanish. Sabroso starts where Toque Libre left off…the next chapter. Dance floors will move and groove to the sophisticated Latin rhythms and steady funky soul pulse of Sabroso.

 

 

Isa Helles Perez is a singer-composer from Cuba. She moved to Portland, Oregon in 2000 and started singing with Conjunto Alegre from 2000 to 2005. She created her Isa Cuba Ache, a 4-piece group playing traditional Cuban music boleros, chachachas, and Salsa, then added merengue, cumbia, and bachata.

Isa's performance is high energy and she loves to connect with the audience to teach them to dance. She's been adding more of her own original compositions according to what is happening around her and the world.
