JULY 1 - BLUES FEST CARES CONCERT WITH CURTIS SALGADO
Waterfront Blues Festival
DOORS OPEN: 5:30 PM
EVENT BEGINS: 7:00 PM
EVENT ENDS: 10:00 PM
Continuing the legacy of giving back, the 2021 Waterfront Blues Festival ‘Upriver’ proudly presents the Blues Fest Cares Concert with Curtis Salgado, benefiting Meals on Wheels People and The Jeremy Wilson Foundation. Join us on Thursday, July 1 at 7 PM for a special performance from our hometown favorite, Curtis Salgado. Net proceeds from the Blues Fest Cares Concert ticket sales go directly to our non-profit partners.
Award-winning vocalist, instrumentalist, and songwriter Curtis Salgado, the man NPR calls “an icon” with “a huge voice,” is revered worldwide for his ability to wring every ounce of soul out of every song he performs. Now, after 40 years of recording, performing, touring, and songwriting, Salgado is back with Damage Control, his first full-band album in four years, and it’s packed with fresh, original material.
With safety at the forefront of planning, the festival is moving less than a mile “Upriver” to The Lot at Zidell Yards, Portland’s premier socially-distanced, outdoor performance venue, located in the South Waterfront neighborhood.
$40-65 per person. All tickets sold as 2, 4, and 6-person seating pods. VIP seating pods available. Seating pods will be clearly marked and socially-distanced with at least 6 feet between each pod, and each pod comes with chairs and a side table.
There are no multi-day passes available this year.
