Saeeda has been seen on stages backing Prince, as a member of his New Power Generation, the Pacific Northwest’s own Liv Warfield and is featured with the Tim Snider Trio.  She is very well known and respected for her work as a soloist with the Oregon Symphony and has been a regular participant in Portland’s Annual Blues Festival. Currently, Saeeda is a lead vocalist for the emerging band Mother’s Favorite Child and is working to complete her debut self-titled album. Besides the gifting and incredible work ethic put forth from this powerful woman, her dedication to her family, her faith, and giving back to her community remain her biggest priority.

A LOVE STORY

On January 10th, 2019 I flew to Ghana and I married my love Ebenezer Amartey. It was a wonderful journey that I would take again and again if I had the means to do so. Everyone wants to know when is he coming home. That brings me to this pool. My beautiful tribe insisted on being able to contribute. Eben and I are blown away by the generosity and love our friends are showing towards our happiness. We are opening the door for anyone who wants to give. The total sum is the cost to file the paperwork with immigration ($530) and the plane tickets ($3000) to bring Ebenezer home. I am personally saving and he is working on his end to take care of some things but the faster we raise the money, the faster he gets here. Thank you in advance for anything you decide to give. We are grateful and extremely appreciative. You are welcome to invite anyone to contribute to this pool. Also, we’ve selected Saeeda for October’s Play It Forward artist. We’ll have a raffle, a donation jar, a 50/50 drawing with 100% of the proceeds going to Saeeda and Eben. And Catfish Lou’s will make a donation towards Eben’s immigration costs.
