Classic Pianos of Portland is proud to present world renowned international Peruvian classical guitarist Alfredo Muro in concert “ Guitarra Ibero-Americana- Ibero American Guitar”, sharing his great musical passions – the rich folkloric traditions and the signature styles of Latin America and Spain for an evening of passionate and vibrant music to stir the heart! Music by Bach, Moreno -Torroba, Albeniz, Celedonio Romero, Jobim, Piazzolla, Powell, Reis, Barrense Dias, Pixinguiha, Falu, and many more!!!

Enjoy an evening of fiery, sensuous, jazz-flavored playing by internationally acclaimed classical guitarist Alfredo Muro, playing from Argentine tangos, preludios, carnavalitos, Spanish music, flamenco to the subtle Bossa Nova, to lively Sambas, rhythmic Choros, romantic Samba-cancao, elegant Valsas Brasileiras (Brazilian waltz) and powerful and dark AfroSambas!!!

Alfredo Muro’s career as a musician has not stopped rising since. Over the years he has performed throughout Latin America, the United States and Europe (Italy, Germany, Norway, Austria, Brazil,Chile, Argentina, Peru)and three consecutive tours to Taiwan. He was the featured artist at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. in 2007, Organization of American States OAS as well as The Smithsonian Museum, representing Peru at The IV Ibero-American Guitar Festival. He performed at a special audience for the late Pope John Paul II at the Vatican.
