The Ty Curtis Band

Friday, August 26th

One show at 8pm

Ty’s energy packed live shows draw from the rich blues tradition, but he has taken blues in new directions. Just fresh out of the studio via Austin, Ty will be releasing his 6th CD “Blame Me”, set to drop this year July 1st at Portland’s Waterfront Blues Festival.

Ty is a two time winner of the CBA Curtis Salgado Male Vocalist award, and just recently opened for Robert Cray. "Watch out for Ty Curtis. He is a strong up and coming artist with a lot to say” says Robert Cray Tour Manager Tim Aller.

Ty has been featured on festival stages and in larger capacity clubs, where exuberant response is not limited to just the audience. World renowned artists have come away impressed, and Ty has shared the stage and opened for Robert Cray, Eric Gales, Chris Cain, Walter Trout, Roy Rogers, Coco Montoya, The Doobie Bros, George Thorogood, Tommy Castro and many more.

Perhaps the late great Paul Delay said it best about Ty Curtis: "He plays it like a young man should-straight ahead and from the heart.” Ty will be joined by long time drummer Jerry Jacques, new bassist Tony Valdez and longtime friend and B3 sensation Louis ”King Louie” Pain.
