After the new smell of fresh engagement has set in, brides and their accomplices head out to bridal shows to see what’s out there. October’s meeting will focus on how to be a success and stand out in a sea of vendors at bridal showcases. We will be chatting with Scott & Amanda Shama with Ambient Sky, Kevin Venables with NW Mobile DJ Service, and Jessica Yi with Bridal Exclusives  to learn about how they have captured business, built their brand, and have caught the attention of the ever excited bride. This is sure to be a lively conversation you will not want to miss!

Elizabeth Fowler, Senior Event Specialist, will be our meeting host for the October 9th meeting, held at the Abernethy Center in Oregon City. Arrive at 6:00pm and meet us in the newly constructed Chapel to enjoy some hors d’oeuvres:
•       Belgian Endive with Rogue River Bleu Cheese
•       Fig & Goat Cheese Beggars Purse
•       Johna Crab Claw Cocktail
•       Cheese Fondue


The Abernethy Center has put together a gorgeous plated meal that will celebrate the fall season. We will be dining in the ballroom where we will have our speaker presentation. Here is our menu:
•       Fresh Baked Bread
•       Pumpkin Ginger Soup with Toasted Pumpkin Seed Garnish
•       Cedar Planked Alaska Coho Salmon with Dilled Meyers, Lemon Caper Butter. Served with Two Potato Puree & Roasted Root Vegetables
•       Pumpkin Cheese Cake
VEGETARIAN upon request:
•       Pumpkin Ravioli with Leeks and Spinach with Sage Cream Sauce served with Two Potato Puree & Roasted Root Vegetables

Tickets are $35 for members and $45 for non-members. Please be respectful of our event venue and RSVP by Friday,, October 6th, 2012.
Registration beginning October 7th is $45 for all attendees.

The Abernethy Center is located at: 606 15th Street, Oregon City, OR 97045. From I-205 North or South, take Exit 10 and veer right onto Hwy. 213. At the first signal, turn right onto Washington Street. Turn Left on 15th Street. Continue on 15th Street and turn right on John Adams Street. The Chapel will be on the left-hand side, one-half block from the intersection of John Adams and 14th Streets. Parking available on site.
