OCTOPUS ENTERTAINMENT PRESENTS ITS SECOND INDIE MUSIC SHOWCASE AT JIMMY MAKS
FEATURING CELILO, BROTHERS YOUNG, ARCHEOLOGY AND SARA JACKSON-HOLMAN
 
Jimmy Maks is a world renowned jazz club in Portland, Oregon. On July 16, 2011, Jimmy Maks presented its first ever indie music showcase, presented by local agency, Octopus Entertainment. Their first showcase featured local favorites The Dimes, Tango Alpha Tango, and Priory.  A sold out success if there ever was one, the first showcase has lent itself to the next. Octopus Entertainment and Jimmy Maks are doing it again!
On November 11, 2011, Jimmy Maks will host a four band bill of epic indie proportions. Headlining the party on 11.11.11 is Portland indie folk band Celilo, an indie rock band that gracefully straddles an intimate boundary with psychedelia and folk.  Next up is Brothers Young, a group of brothers who grew up in Bend, Oregon and now create hazy folk melodies. Archeology play second in the evening after returning from a 2 month long tour to CMJ in New York and back. This will be their homecoming show! The opening act for the evening will be local songstress, Sara Jackson-Holman.
Tickets are $8.00 in advance or $10.00 the day of the show. The doors open at 5:00pm and music starts at 8:00pm. Reservations are available for dinner and a guaranteed table for the show – Call ahead for reservations. Otherwise, seating is first-come, first-served without a dinner reservation.
