NYC-based acclaimed alt-folk-pop singer-songwriter Rachael Sage will perform at KALA, joined by violinist Kelly Halloran. Sage's career has been defined by a passion for storytelling and an innovative sense of creativity. Rachael Sage & The Sequins bridge the earthy, retro sensibilities of 70s-era folk-rock with the ability to connect meaningfully with audiences of all ilks, always bringing positive vibes and the musical reminder that we're all on this planet to lift each other up.

With the current Top 40-Charting album Canopy out now, Under My Canopy due this fall, and this year marking the 30th Anniversary of Sage's pioneering indie label MPress Records, the show promises to be unforgettable. Sharing stages with seminal musicians such as Rufus Wainwright, Ani DiFranco, and Judy Collins - with whom she also recorded a critically acclaimed duet - Sage's career has been defined by a passion for storytelling and an innovative sense of creativity. In addition to being a six-time Independent Music Award-winning musician and producer, Rachael Sage is also a John Lennon Contest Grand Prize winner who has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe, SXSW, and toured globally from Japan to Berlin with her band, The Sequins.
