Moon Balloon is an electro-acoustic bluegrass fusion band from Portland, OR, featuring Dylan DiSalvio (Lost Ox) on guitars, Taylor Skiles (Cascade Crescendo) on bass, Josiah Payne (Bigfoot Mojo, Austin Quattlebaum Band) on mandolin, and Steven Skolnik on percussion. They perform a smattering of traditional bluegrass songs, Garcia/Grisman tunes, Dawg music and acoustic-adjacent jazz, and more, all executed with a jam-heavy sensibility and driven by an insatiable desire for pickin' and grinnin'. The result is a truly unique and delightful blend of styles presented by virtuoso players, which makes for a both stunning and enchanting musical experience for the listener.
