Men at Work are an Australian rock band formed in 1979 and best known for their 1981 hit "Down Under". Their founding mainstay is Colin Hay on Lead vocals and guitar. He formed the group with Ron Strykert playing bass guitar, Jerry Speiser on drums, Greg Ham on flute, saxophone, and keyboards, and John Rees on bass guitar, with Ron then switching to lead guitar. This line-up achieved national and international success in the early 1980s. In January 1983, they were the first Australian artists to have a simultaneous No. 1 album and No. 1 single on the United States Billboard charts: Business as Usual (released on 9 November 1981) and "Down Under" (1981), respectively. With the same works, they achieved the distinction of simultaneous No. 1 in Australia, No. 2 in New Zealand, and the United Kingdom charts. Their second album Cargo (2 May 1983) was also No. 1 in Australia, No. 2 in New Zealand, No. 3 in the US, and No. 8 in the UK. Their third album, Two Hearts (3 April 1985), reached the top 50 in the US. They won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1983, and they have sold over 30 million albums worldwide.
Toad the Wet Sprocket is an American alternative rock band formed in 1986. The band consists of vocalist and guitarist Glen Phillips, guitarist Todd Nichols, bassist Dean Dinning, and drummer Randy Guss. They had chart success in the 1990s with singles which included "Walk on the Ocean", "All I Want", "Something's Always Wrong", " Fall Down", and "Good Intentions". The band broke up in 1998 to pursue other projects, but in 2006 began touring the United States as a band again for short run tours each summer, and in December 2010, the band announced their official reunion as a full-time working band and started writing.
Shonen Knife is a revered Japanese pop/punk band that's been at it since 1981, continuing to tour and release albums as recently as 2023. Heavily influenced by 1960s girl groups, pop band, The Beach Boys, and early punk rock bands, such as the Ramones, the trio crafts stripped-down songs with simplistic lyrics sung both in Japanese and English. Despite their pop-oriented nature, the trio maintained a distinctly underground garage rock sound rooted in edgy instrumentation. The group is also noteworthy for having opened for Nirvana on the request of friend , Kurt Cobain, back in the early '90s, right before Nirvana released Nevermind.

It will be capable of hosting anything from intimate weddings and community events to nationally touring concert acts. This park will be adjacent to the existing Shriners Event Center.
This outdoor area is already set to host a major touring event this summer. The Event Center will have room for a few thousand guests to bring their own blankets and chairs to set up as they want. There will also be an area with a few hundred chairs for reserved seating.
The Center expects to establish a food court area, bringing in local vendors, as well as providing local beers and wines. A Dance Zone is also in the works. Video displays will also be provided of this first major concert.
In collaboration with long-time Northwest Event & Concert Producers, Too Far North Productions, and Hero Event Support, The Shriners will be presenting one of this summer's most anticipated concert experiences. This is an eclectic and family-friendly concert experience, Saturday, August 15th at 7 PM. Bring your blanket and chairs, and lots of nearby safe and convenient parking. Concert Information will be updated at the Shriner Event Center website. This event benefits the El Katif Shriners and their work with Shriners Children’s Hospital.
