Men at Work is an Australian rock band formed in 1979 and best known for their 1981 hit "Down Under". Their founding mainstay is Colin Hay on Lead vocals and guitar. He formed the group with Ron Strykert playing bass guitar, Jerry Speiser on drums, Greg Ham on flute, saxophone, and keyboards, and John Rees on bass guitar, with Ron then switching to lead guitar. This line-up achieved national and international success in the early 1980s. In January 1983, they were the first Australian artists to have a simultaneous No. 1 album and No. 1 single on the United States Billboard charts: Business as Usual (released on 9 November 1981) and "Down Under" (1981), respectively. With the same works, they achieved the distinction of simultaneous No. 1 in Australia, No. 2 in New Zealand, and the United Kingdom charts. Their second album Cargo (2 May 1983) was also No. 1 in Australia, No. 2 in New Zealand, No. 3 in the US, and No. 8 in the UK. Their third album, Two Hearts (3 April 1985), reached the top 50 in the US. They won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1983, and they have sold over 30 million albums worldwide.
Toad the Wet Sprocket is an American alternative rock band formed in 1986. The band consists of vocalist and guitarist Glen Phillips, guitarist Todd Nichols, bassist Dean Dinning, and drummer Randy Guss. They had chart success in the 1990s with singles which included "Walk on the Ocean", "All I Want", "Something's Always Wrong", " Fall Down", and "Good Intentions". The band broke up in 1998 to pursue other projects, but in 2006 began touring the United States as a band again for short run tours each summer, and in December 2010, the band announced their official reunion as a full-time working band and started writing.
Shonen Knife is a revered Japanese pop/punk band that's been at it since 1981, continuing to tour and release albums as recently as 2023. Heavily influenced by 1960s girl groups, pop bands, The Beach Boys, and early punk rock bands, such as the Ramones, the trio crafts stripped-down songs with simplistic lyrics sung both in Japanese and English. Despite their pop-oriented nature, the trio maintained a distinctly underground garage rock sound rooted in edgy instrumentation. The group is also noteworthy for having opened for Nirvana on the request of a friend, Kurt Cobain, back in the early '90s, right before Nirvana released Nevermind.

Shriners Event Center, located at 7217 West Westbow Blvd. just west of Spokane, has long been a popular destination for indoor events. Now, the venue is expanding with the creation of a new 3.5-acre park-like outdoor event area adjacent to the existing Event Center.
This new outdoor space will be designed to host everything from intimate weddings and community gatherings to nationally touring concert acts. In fact, the venue is already scheduled to host a major touring event this summer.
The outdoor event area will accommodate a few thousand guests, with room for attendees to bring their own blankets and chairs and set up in a relaxed, festival-style atmosphere. An additional reserved seating section with a few hundred chairs will also be available.
Plans for the space include a food court featuring local vendors, local beer and wine offerings, and even a dedicated Dance Zone.
In collaboration with longtime Northwest event and concert producers Too Far North Productions and Hero Event Support, the Shriners will present one of this summer’s most anticipated concert experiences.
