Formed in 2016 Cloud Six is a horn-powered collective featuring some of Portland’s finest young players and composers. Their live shows are full of energy, featuring electrified horns, funky bass lines, and technical drumming, with moods that swing between cinematic soundscapes and dancefloor-ready soul-jazz. Their mission of “adapting the classic horn sextet to the digital era” is reminiscent of past fusion pioneers, but with more contemporary influences like instrumental hip-hop and electronica.
Our Mission: The Unity Benefit Music Series is a collaborative effort created from the necessity to support artists, reconnect our community, and promote Unity through the healing message of music!
Our focus is to advocate for social equality and address the need to support our local venues, production staff, restaurant workers, and musicians from the devastating effects of our industry shut down.
Description: This benefit music series will feature Portland's top Soul, Latin & Jazz bands.
During the shows, we will spotlight positive tangible commentary from community activists, select nonprofits, and social equality advocates sharing ideas and strategies to unite our divided country.
