Matices Latin Ensemble: Incorporating a variety of elements from Latin music, Cuban Son, Brazilian Bossa Nova, and Latin Jazz, Matices Latin Ensemble plays an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary music from Latin America. The band performs entertaining and dynamic shows for listeners and dancers alike. In a single set, they pull together influences from many regions and countries. Their shows appeal to audiences of all ages and create an atmosphere where English-speaking audiences can appreciate the diversity of Latin American cultures, and Spanish-speaking audiences can share and celebrate their exciting musical legacy.

Our Mission: The Unity Benefit Music Series is a collaborative effort created from the necessity to support artists, reconnect our community, and promote Unity through the healing message of music!

Our focus is to advocate for social equality and address the need to support our local venues, production staff, restaurant workers, and musicians from the devastating effects of our industry shut down.

Description: This benefit music series will feature Portland's top Soul, Latin & Jazz bands.

During the shows, we will spotlight positive tangible commentary from community activists, select nonprofits, and social equality advocates sharing ideas and strategies to unite our divided country.

For those unfamiliar with Botanist, we are your thoughtful, intentional home away from home neighborhood destination bar/restaurant located in the heart of the Pearl District in Portland, Oregon. In the local community, we are known for our personalized style of hospitality, creative cocktails, and delectable tapas and entrées. Over the time that we have been open, we have been able to establish strong relationships with not only our guests (aka Our Family) but also the service industry professionals.
