Slated to be the city's most eminent and influential social equality gathering with a focus on encouraging diversity and inclusion while providing impactful and meaningful tangible dialogue.

Michalangela
Over her 17-year musical career, Michalangela has worked alongside countless numbers of the NW’s best musicians such as Farnell Newton (Jill Scott/Bootsy Collins) and Saeeda Wright (Prince), becoming a staple in the thriving Portland music scene. Some performance credits include opening for Robert Glasper in 2015 and singing with Liv Warfield at the Waterfront Blues Festival in 2016. Michalangela’s long time accompanist Ben Darwish (Mike Posner, Natasha Beddingfield) said of her, "Michalangela is one of the most musical vocalists I’ve worked with. Her control and phrasing are second to none.”

Our focus is to advocate and address the need to support our local venues, staff, musicians, bartenders, and restaurant workers from the devastating effects of our industry shutdown. 

This series features top Soul, Latin and jazz bands with special guests, plus resident DJ’s & MC's.

The evening will spotlight positive and informative commentary from local community activists, nonprofits, and social justice advocates sharing ideas and strategies to unite our city & country.

Botanist:
For those unfamiliar with Botanist, we are your thoughtful, intentional home away from home neighborhood destination bar/restaurant located in the heart of the Pearl District in Portland, Oregon. In the local community, we are known for our personalized style of hospitality, creative cocktails, and delectable tapas and entrées. Over the time that we have been open, we have been able to establish strong relationships with not only our guests (aka Our Family) but also the service industry professionals.
