Join us for an evening with T.S. Monk to commemorate the centennial birthday of his father, Thelonious Monk. Critics and the public have lauded T. S. Monk as his father’s true musical heir, as bandleader and performer. He later received Record of the Year at the first annual New York Jazz Awards, as well as DownBeat magazine’s prestigious 63rd Annual Reader’s Poll Award for his album, “Monk on Monk.” In 1992, T.S. formed his jazz sextet and have received positive acclaim from the moment they hit the stage and studio.
