The Paul Creighton Project
Paul's Birthday Bash!

Saturday, August 13th

One show at 8pm

The Paul Creighton Project unites Portland's finest jazz and soul players, with the songwriting and vocal talent of Intervision frontman Paul Creighton.

A PDX super band if there ever was one, the PCP welcomes back international soul-sensation, Jarrod Lawson, on keys and vocals, Jay "Bird" Koder on guitar, Damian Erskine on bass, Leisa Hart-Grace on vocals, Paul Mazzio on Trumpet. We will also be inviting special guests Christopher Brown on drums and John Nastos on saxophone to round out the evenings’ stunning showcase of NW artists.

This is Paul’s Birthday Bash, and there is no greater gift to him than the opportunity to create good noises with musicians he adores amidst patrons that he loves (that would be you). Join us for a memorable night of original and cover music.

Paul Creighton has received multiple songwriting awards with the Intervision project, including an Independent Music Award for Best R&B song. Unsigned Magazine calls Creighton “an artist whose tenor has shades of Marvin and Stevie”, while the Willamette Week more aptly states “If The Avengers was a film about funk-jazz musicians from Portland who really kicked the ass of super-difficult-to-play music [...], it would star the Paul Creighton Project..”

He has toured with The Motet, Joey Porter’s Funk Tributes, Soul Vaccination, Intervision, and has had the distinct honor and privilege of performing alongside such greats as Nate Watts (Stevie Wonder), Jennifer Batten (Michael Jackson, Jeff Beck), Chester Thompson (Tower of Power, Santana). Creighton has opened for multiplatinum artists Lifehouse, as well as the Neville Brothers, Little Richard, McKinley, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, among other nationally touring acts.
