One show at 7:00pm

Join us tonight for the 2014 Jazz Society of Oregon Hall of Fame Concert featuring this year’s Hall of Fame inductee, Gordon Lee. Gordon will be joined by Dennis Caiazza on bass and Ron Steen on drums for two sets beginning at 8pm. The opening act at 7pm will be the Battleground High School jazz combo. These excellent young musicians won the JSO high school competition earlier this year.

Gordon Lee is a composer, jazz pianist, arranger, conductor and music educator who is well known throughout the Pacific Northwest and has worked with Don Cherry, Obo Addy and Joe Lovano. Lee played with one of the originators of jazz-rock fusion, Jim Pepper, for 14 years and also has played with drummer Mel Brown since 1986.

Gordon Lee blazes new paths, forging the highest quality original music while informing the public about music’s potential.

The Jazz Society of Oregon is proud to recognize Gordon’s enormous contributions and tremendous talent by honoring him as our 2014 Hall of Fame inductee.
