Jimmy Mak’s is proud to present the Godfather of Portland jazz, Mel Brown! 

For New Year’s Eve, Mel is presenting his legendary Hammond B3 Organ Group. This band has held court on Thursday nights for over 18 years and continues to tear it up every week. Mel’s Hammond organ group features Renato Caranto smoldering on the tenor saxophone, Louis Pain driving the band on the mighty Hammond B3 Organ, Dan Balmer shredding the guitar, and Curtis Craft adding his comprehensive percussion. 

Tonight, the band will get some extra special help from our good friend LaRhonda Steele on vocals! 

We have two shows this evening with LaRhonda showing her jazz side for the dinner show, and then lighting the joint on fire with some deep soul for the late show. These shows will definitely sell out, so get your tickets and reservations early and plan on ringing in the New Year with us!
