One show at 8pm
The Paul Creighton Project unites Portland’s finest jazz and soul players with the songwriting and vocal talent of Intervision frontman Paul Creighton, evoking sounds in the vein of Steely Dan and Stevie Wonder.
A PDX Super Band if there ever was one, the PCP will feature Brian Harris on keys and vocals, Jay “Bird” Koder on guitar, Damian Erskine on bass, Reinhardt Melz on drums, Joshua Cliburn on saxophone, and Dick Titterington on trumpet. We will also be inviting soul virtuoso, Miss Leisa Hart, to round out the stunning vocal showcase.
Paul Creighton has received multiple songwriting awards with the Intervision project, including an Independent Music Award for Best R&B song. Unsigned Magazine calls Creighton “an artist whose tenor has shades of Marvin and Stevie”, while the Willamette Week more aptly states “G-dd-mn, can Paul Creighton sing.”
He has toured with The Motet, Joey Porter’s Funk Tributes, Soul Vaccination, Intervision, and he has had the distinct honor and privilege to have performed with such greats as Nate Watts (Stevie Wonder), Jennifer Batten (Michael Jackson, Jeff Beck), and Chester Thompson (Tower of Power, Santana).
Creighton has opened for multi-platinum artists Lifehouse, as well as the Neville Brothers, Little Richard, McKinley, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and many other nationally touring acts.
