Karen Lovely celebrates the release of her 3rd studio album, 10 Miles of Bad Road, with a very special home town party at Jimmy Mak's.  Special guests and songwriting partners Dave Fleschner (piano/B3) and Vyasa Dodson (guitar) will also perform.

10 Miles of Bad Road was recorded at Ultratone Studios in Studio City, CA with Grammy-winning producer Tony Braunagel.  The 13 tracks include 12 all new, original songs written by Lovely, Dave Fleschner, Vyasa Dodson, Alan Mirikitani and Dennis Walker. The title track was inspired by Curtis Salgado, who also shares songwriting credits with Lovely and Dave Fleschner. The music is a powerful mix of contemporary blues, roots and soul.

The live band features outstanding Portland musicians: Peter Dammann on guitar, Dave Fleschner on piano/B3, Timmer Blakely on bass, Justin Matz on drums, special guest Vyasa Dodson on guitar, along with others.

Karen shot onto the blues scene placing 2nd at the 2010 International Blues Challenge, followed by three 2011 Blues Music Award Nominations for BEST CONTEMPORARY BLUES FEMALE ARTIST, BEST CONTEMPORARY BLUES ALBUM and BEST SONG for her sophomore release STILL THE RAIN.

Known for her passionate, driven performances, this powerhouse vocalist delivers a blistering mix of contemporary & old school blues. Lovely's standout performances have garnered awards and critical acclaim at festivals and venues throughout the US, Canada, and Europe.
