Welcome to Oregon Music Festival. International in scope, composer-focused,and dedicated to symphonic music, OMF offers historically-informedperformances of the great classics and an exhilarating encounter with seldom-heard masterworks — all performed in a pristine acoustical environment by a cast of top-level artists. This season we celebrate the works of Schubert, Martinů and Piazzolla. 

Orpheus Academy Orchestra performs Astor Piazzolla’s tango-infused Four Season of Bueno Aires — a series of vivid musical paintings of the bustling Argentine metropolis. Works on the program: Martinů’s Divertimento (Serenade No. 4) for violin, viola & chamber orchestra; Schubert/Mahler’s String Quartet No. 14 “Death and the Maiden” arranged for strings; and Piazzolla/Desyatnikov’s  Las Cuatro Estaciones Porteñas “Four Seasons of Buenos Aires” for violin & strings. This performance features the Orpheus Academy Orchestra, Carla Trynchuk (violin), Ada Meinich (viola) and Travis Hatton (conductor).
